Which Army path
fits you?
There are more than 200 jobs in the Army. Nobody can pick well from a list that long. Six questions about how you like to work. You get a field that fits, the jobs inside it, and a second field worth a look.
A starting point, not a promise. Actual jobs depend on your ASVAB scores, medical screening, and what is open when you sign. *Eligibility varies.
Slide your ASVAB score. Watch jobs open up.
Most people know their ASVAB as one number, 1 to 99. That is your AFQT score, the score from the ASVAB that decides if you can enlist. Jobs officially qualify by line scores. Line scores are groups of ASVAB subtest scores that decide which jobs you qualify for. So the number on each card is a converted average. It is close enough to see where you stand. Slide your score and watch jobs open up.
How these numbers are figured: jobs officially qualify by ASVAB line scores.
- Each card shows an estimate. It is the job's required line scores, averaged and converted to the 1 to 99 scale. The scores come from official Army sources, checked October 2026.
- Under 21: no jobs open in this explorer.
- 21 to 30: the Future Soldier Prep Course (09M) comes first. Scores 21 to 23 are Army Reserve only. Scores 24 to 30 are active duty or Reserve.
- 31 and up: regular enlistment with no prep course.
- Two jobs add extra tests beyond the ASVAB. The language job (35M) adds a language test. The cyber job (17C) adds a cyber test.
Estimates only, not a promise of a job. Jobs also depend on medical screening, openings, and your full ASVAB. Your recruiter confirms the exact requirements for your situation. *Eligibility varies.
