Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy covers this page. I run it. I am Zach, a U.S. Army recruiter who posts as @armyrecruiter.zach. This is a personal recruiting resource. It is not an official U.S. Army or Department of Defense website. This policy explains what I collect when you visit or click through to the Army's eligibility form. It explains what I use that information for. It explains the choices you have.

The short version

  • I never see your answers on the Army form. They go straight to the Army.
  • This page does not ask for your name or contact info before the form. The button takes you to the official Army form. It adds a short code to the form. The code comes from your network address, scrambled. Your address itself is not stored. I keep the code and its scrambled form, with the date and time, in a private database.
  • Questions you send through the “Ask a question” box are kept in a private database on my own hosting account. I delete them when you ask, or when the conversation ends.
  • If you accept cookies, Google and Meta tools count visits and ad results. If you say no, they don't run.
  • If your request moves forward, I may tell Google and Meta the result, using a scrambled version of your contact info.
  • Submitting the official form means the Army may contact you by phone, text, or email. You can opt out anytime. Details are in section 12.
  • I never sell your information. You can ask me to show it, fix it, or delete it. Message me on Instagram or by email.

1. What does the breakdown form ask for?

The "Get your breakdown" button on this hub takes you to the official U.S. Army Eligibility Form, which is run by the U.S. Army. That form asks for:

This hub does not receive, see or store your answers to the official form. They go straight into the Army's own system and are handled under the Army's own privacy practices. Before the form opens, this page adds one short code to it. The code goes in the form's applicant ID field. It comes from your network address, scrambled into letters and numbers. Your address itself is not stored, and the code is not your name or contact info. I keep the code and its scrambled form, with the date and time, in a private database on my own hosting account. The button then takes you to the official form. Do not put sensitive information in any form field: no Social Security numbers, no medical details, no financial account numbers. Sending the form does not enlist you, sign you up for anything, or commit you to anything. It is a request for information.

2. What is collected automatically?

Links from social posts and ads carry a tag that shows where you came from, like Instagram or Google. I read that tag and any ad click ID that comes with it. I keep them on your device for up to 90 days. That way the right post or ad gets credit when you click through to the Army form. The tracking tags below also collect basic device and browser info. That means your browser type and device type. It also means your rough location from your IP address, and which parts of this site you view.

3. What about cookies and tracking tags?

Three measurement tools run on this page, but only after you accept cookies. On your first visit a banner asks your permission. If you accept, the tags below load. If you reject, none of them load. The page still works fully. I store your choice in a small file this site saves in your browser, called a first-party cookie. It lasts 90 days. After that, the banner asks again. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat that as a rejection. No banner or tag loads. Global Privacy Control is a browser setting that tells sites not to track you. Visitors with JavaScript turned off are not tracked at all. The tools are:

These tags use cookies and similar technology. Google explains its data practices at policies.google.com/privacy. Meta explains its own at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings. You can do the same in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings. This page and its form still work if you do.

4. How is my information used?

That is the whole list. Information collected on this page is not used for any other purpose.

5. Who gets my information?

I never sell your form information. I never share it with marketers or data brokers. The one exception is the hashed stage reporting to Google and Meta in section 4. Google and Meta receive measurement data from this page through the tags above. Their own privacy policies cover that data. Two more services touch the visit itself. Cloudflare hosts this page and processes standard request logs. The form button sends you to the Army form, through a short redirect on this page that adds the applicant code. I would only disclose information beyond that if the law required it.

6. How long is it kept?

I do not store your answers on the Army form, and this page no longer collects a name or contact before the form. I use the applicant code only to match a form submission back to a hub visit. When your visit carries a source tag or ad click ID, I store that tag with the code. I delete it when you ask. Questions sent through the “Ask a question” box are kept in a private database on my own hosting account. I keep your question and email address. I use them only to reply to you. I delete them when you ask, or when the conversation ends. Contact shared through this page's earlier pre-form step, now paused, is kept the same way while follow-up is active, and deleted when you ask or when follow-up ends. I also keep a few of my own display settings in your browser's local storage. Those stay on your device. They are never form answers. They are never sent anywhere. The Army's own rules cover how long it keeps requests sent through its official form. Google and Meta hold the measurement data from your visit under their own policies. You can clear this page's cookies at any time in your browser.

7. What are my choices?

One honest limit first. Google and Meta hold the measurement data from your visit. I do not hold it here. So I cannot pull a copy of it or delete it for you. Their own controls are linked in section 3 above. What I hold myself is contact you shared here (questions, or the earlier pre-form step). I can show you, correct, or delete that.

To use any of these, message me on Instagram at @armyrecruiter.zach or email me at [email protected]. A person handles requests, not a ticket system. So allow a few days for a reply.

8. How old do I need to be?

This page and its form are for people 17 and older who are weighing enlistment, college, or trade school. They are not directed at children under 13. The “Ask a question” box asks you to confirm you are 18 or older. If not, it asks you to confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to share your contact info. If you are 17, enlisting requires the written consent of a parent or guardian.

9. How is it protected?

I take reasonable steps to protect the information you send here. But no website or messaging system can promise perfect security. Only send through the form what you are comfortable sharing.

10. What if this policy changes?

If this policy changes, I will post the new version on this page. It will carry a new "last updated" date at the top. Changes apply from the date they are posted.

11. Questions?

Message me on Instagram at @armyrecruiter.zach or email me at [email protected] with any question about this policy or your information.

Sharing your information on the official Army form is voluntary. You are under no obligation to provide it. The Army uses it strictly for recruiting purposes. The Army's application pages state the authority for collecting it: Title 10, United States Code, Sections 503, 505, 508, and 12102, and Executive Order 9397.

Submitting the form means you agree the Army may contact you about your request. Contact may come by mail, phone call, text message, email, or social media. Text messages may be marketing or informational, and how often they arrive varies. Message and data rates may apply under your phone plan. The Army never charges for the texts it sends. Reply HELP to a text from the Army for support.

You can opt out of Army contact at any time. To stop emails, use the Army's email opt-out page. To stop texts, reply STOP to a text from the Army. To stop phone calls, call 1-888-USA-ARMY or tell the Army representative who calls you. Asking me not to contact you (section 7) stops my follow-ups. It does not opt you out of the Army's own contact. Use the Army's opt-outs above for that.

If you are 17, enlisting requires the written consent of a parent or guardian. See section 8. The Army's full privacy notice is at goarmy.com/privacy. Sending the form does not enlist you. It is a request for information.

*Eligibility varies. Nothing on this page guarantees pay, a bonus, tuition help, a specific job or any other outcome. Options depend on your qualifications and what is open when you apply.
